Search and browsing
The homepage requests a focused console shortlist from our backend when it opens or you change console. Search queries and selected platforms are sent to our Cloudflare backend and eBay. Do not enter personal or sensitive information into search. Comparison selections and filters remain in page memory only. Homepage results expire from the page after 15 minutes. To avoid repeating the same search for each visitor, we may temporarily retain a shared shortlist in private Cloudflare object storage. Shared results refresh at most every 30 minutes and are not displayed after one hour without a successful refresh. An authenticated eBay account-deletion notification removes matching seller listings before acknowledgement. If seller identity cannot be matched safely, we clear the affected feed. Seller identifiers are kept only with these temporary listings for deletion handling. We do not log listing responses or search text, store listings in browser storage, or send eBay data to a generative AI model. Temporary in-memory counters keyed by network address limit request bursts. Cloudflare also applies network-level abuse protection. Our security database stores aggregate request counters and feed coordination timestamps, without IP addresses, searches or listing content.
Live product images load from eBay image servers, which receive your request including your IP address. Cloudflare hosts the site and processes network and technical request information. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Affiliate links
Affiliate links contain our campaign ID and the fixed reference lootwhistle-live. We do not put visitor identifiers, email addresses or search queries into those tracking parameters. After you follow a link, eBay may use cookies or similar technologies to attribute qualifying purchases under its own privacy and cookie policies. This website does not add affiliate pixels, accounts or affiliate-click logging.
Traffic analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand visits, page views, referring sites, device types and page performance. It does not use analytics cookies or local storage to identify visitors. We do not send search text or listing details as analytics events. Browser blocking and privacy settings can prevent these measurements.
Earlier saved items
The retired saved-item feature is no longer available. We remove its old fictional-item preference from this browser when the site loads. Live listings are not saved.
Email and your choices
Messages you send to our contact address arrive through Gmail and are used to respond. They are not automatically added to a mailing list. Contact Matt to request access, correction or deletion of information you have sent; some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or an outstanding inquiry.
